Job Purpose:

Torchlight Recruitment Solutions are actively seeking a Geo-Environmental Consultant to lead and manage geo-environmental projects, whilst providing expert consultancy services to clients. This role involves overseeing project teams, ensuring the highest standards of technical excellence, and fostering client relationships to drive business growth. There is scope for this position to be a managerial/principal level.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

* Lead and manage geo-environmental projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

* Prepare and review project proposals, budgets, and timelines.

* Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including geotechnical engineers, environmental scientists, and other specialists.

Technical Expertise:

* Provide expert advice on contaminated land assessments, remediation strategies, and environmental risk assessments.

* Oversee site investigations, data collection, and analysis of environmental samples.

* Develop and implement innovative solutions for complex geo-environmental challenges.

Client Relationship Management:

* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored consultancy services.

* Present findings, reports, and recommendations to clients and stakeholders in a clear and professional manner.

* Identify and pursue new business opportunities, preparing bids and proposals to secure new projects.

Team Leadership:

* Mentor and develop junior consultants, providing guidance and support to enhance their technical and professional growth.

* Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging knowledge sharing and best practices within the team.

* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.

Business Development:

* Contribute to the strategic planning and growth of the geo-environmental consultancy services.

* Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.

* Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

* Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.

* Chartered status with a relevant professional body (e.g., Chartered Geologist, Chartered Environmentalist).

* Proven track record in managing complex geo-environmental projects and leading multidisciplinary teams.

* Strong technical expertise in contaminated land assessment, remediation, and environmental risk management.

* Excellent communication, presentation, and client management skills.

Working Conditions:
