Our client is an established and reputable Accountancy Practice based in Basildon who work with SME Business Owners in the SE area of the UK and beyond. 

This is a new role for the business, so you will be an important part of a growing successful team who are focused on growing the business to the next level and will mean the opportunity to earn equity or for Business Career Growth for you within the business.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Ownership and management of a portfolio of predominantly owner managed clients.
Client facing role - being the main point of contact for these clients.
Preparation of both Management and Financial Accounts.
Being the main contact for clients with respect to Corporation Tax and Personal Taxes.
Dealing with HMRC with respect to supporting clients’ taxation requirements.

Results expected

All compliance deadlines to be met within internal deadlines.
Accounting work to be performed to a high level of accuracy.
Strong Client Relationships.
Continual improvement of internal processes and procedures.

Clear concise honest communication with clients and members of the team.
Takes responsibility and ownership of their actions and obligations.
Good use of time management in prioritisation of workload.

Skills & Experience

ACCA/ACMA qualification.
Excellent IT skills with a high level of Excel expertise.
Strong written and communication skills.
Experience of having worked within an Accounting Practise position.
Experience in producing Management Accounts, Financial Accounts, VAT and Corporation Tax Returns.
Experience in having managed a Portfolio of Clients.
Experience in client facing meetings.
Experience in dealing with HMRC.

Attitude 

A strong commercial approach to accounts production and tax planning.
Enthusiastic approach in helping to grow a business via the team and systems.
Friendly and helpful attitude towards clients and staff.

Salary & Benefits Package

£45K to £60K subject to experience. 
40 hours a week predominantly in the office.
