Chef - Portsmouth
A Chef is needed for a hospital in Portsmouth.
37.5 hours per week. Working 7 days on, 2 days off. 8 days on and 4 days off and working 2 weekends in 3.
Hours of work are: 06:00am - 14:00pm, 08:00am - 16:00pm and 11:00am - 19:00pm
Pay rate is £15.96 including holiday pay
Qualifications required:
* NVQ Level 3 in Cookery or equivalent in the catering industry
* Food Safety Certificate - Level 2
* Allergen Level 2 Training
Requirements:
* Significant experience in catering environments producing for large numbers.
* Cook food to a high standard by following recipes, production planning and allergen information.
* Working using your own initiative and taking lead in absence of the person in charge.
* Must be able to provide high standards of work in a pressurised environment.
* Maintain temperature and HACCP records.
* Prepare patients special diets and provide information to dieticians, ward staff and housekeepers.
* Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in the setting including personal hygiene
It is essential all candidates have a standard DBS certificate to be considered for the job
