Role Overview: As a Charge Nurse, you will support the ward manager in overseeing a secure ward for patients under the Mental Health Act with diagnoses of mental health issues, personality disorders, and/or learning disabilities.

Responsibilities:

Provide clinical and leadership expertise to support the wider nursing team.
Adapt flexibly to changes and the evolving needs of the service.
Deputize for the ward manager when necessary, demonstrating a willingness to expand your roles and responsibilities.
Serve as a role model for peers, embodying Priory's core values.
Ideally, have experience in a forensic setting, though a strong desire to work in this challenging field is essential.
Act as a clinical lead with a thorough understanding of patient needs.
Assess and mentor junior staff, showcasing strong leadership skills and a positive, team-oriented approach.
Requirements:

Registered Nurse with an active NMC PIN and at least 2 years of post-qualification experience.
Relevant clinical experience.
Positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement, and quality.
Ability to develop and apply flexible and innovative approaches to practice.
Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
