Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established Property Consultancy in Manchester on the hire of an Associate Town Planner.

The company has four planning teams strategically placed throughout the UK and employs around 100 planning and development team members.

As an Associate within the team, you will support the Head of the North West Planning teams in the implementation of the business plan through managing and developing client relationships, contributing to business development assignments, managing clients' assignments, representing the office/ team in the market.

Key Responsibilities

Support the creation and implementation of a plan to develop a client portfolio
Develop and maintain strategic relationships with existing clients, with a particular focus on delivering a contract with the Ministry of Justice
Develop strategic relationships with new clients and actively look for new business opportunities
Strengthen the integrated portfolio by building links across business groups and global office network and working collaboratively to generate new instructions, pool expertise and provide advice
Proactively target new business and revenue opportunities with new and existing clients
Lead and co-ordinate the work of team on client projects; prioritise activities and delegate on the basis of appropriate expertise and development needs of team tools

The successful candidate is expected to hold relevant qualifications and experience, commensurate to an Associate Town Planner. You must have excellent written and communication skills and be a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
