First Opinion Hospital/Branch Vet

We have an exciting opportunity to join our amazing First Opinion Vet Team - based between our state of the art hospital site and one of our branch practices!

About us

We are a multi-disciplinary site that actively encourages collaboration between our referral and first opinion/ECC teams. The site offers all the 'mod cons' you would expect, and provides an excellent platform for our team to be able to work cases up fully and pursue their personal clinical interests. Facilities include:

- 24/7 inpatient care

- CT Scanner

- Advanced Ultrasonography

- Endosurgery facilities

- Extensive blood analysis equipment- including TEG, blood gases etc

- Dedicated orthopaedic, soft tissue and exotic theatres

- Dedicated ECC wards

- Dental suite

- In-house Hydrotherapy service

- In-house Physiotherapy service

Our 4 branch practices are fully equipped, and self-sufficient, but have the back up and support of the hospital site when needed. They are far from vaccine clinics, having a varied and interesting caseload. Branch facilities include:

- Digital x-ray

- Blood analysers

- Dental suites, including dental x-ray

- Ultrasound and access to shared radiosurgery units.

- Full support teams of RVNs, ACAs and receptionists.

The Role

- Hospital and Branch Clinic days each week

- Client bonds and continuity of GP work

- ECC and inpatient hospital work

- Opportunity for training in laparoscopic procedures

- Certificate Study/Clinical development actively supported

Hours

- 4 day week, with 1 in 5 Saturday OR Sunday shift (38hr week) allowing a great work/life balance.

- Part-time/flexible working options

- No nights/twilights or on-call- this is all covered by our dedicated ECC team

Key Benefits

- 35-65k Salary - dependant on experience

- Working 1 bank holiday day shift/year

- Up to 6.6 weeks holiday, inclusive of Bank holidays - options to buy and sell
