Hardware Electrical Engineer

Interface with engineering and application engineers to define product specifications.
Research and select components to achieve appropriate functionality
Develop PCB and FPGA designs to implement the desired functionality.
Interface with Firmware, Mechanical, and other Electrical engineers to achieve product goals
Interaction and guidance to SMT assembly and production assembly / testing
Learn about legacy products and assist production, support, and sales.
Document design specifications, BOM’s, ECO’s, and process instructions.
Requirements
Desired Skills and Experience:
BSEE with 5+ years electronic product development.
Digital and analog PCB circuit design.
PCB layout, Mentor and/or Cadence
Multiple clock domain FPGA implementation and debugging, Verilog and VHDL, Xilinx, Lattice
PCB prototype debugging, using standard test equipment
Interactive ECAD / MCAD design
Production failure analysis
Regulatory compliance (FCC, CE, UL, etc)
 
Bonus Points for Experience with:
CMOS imagers / vision processing
RF modules / protocols (eg., 802.15.4)
Inertial Measurement Units
Ethernet, PoE, USB, I2C, SPI
High power LED strobes
LTspice
Microcontroller and peripheral programming
