Teaching Personnel are currently looking for Teaching Assistants to work in the Penzance – Camborne area.

We currently have schools in the Penzance to Camborne area who are looking for additional support staff who are available to help within schools. The ideal candidate will have experience in an educational environment though schools are willing to consider candidates with other relevant experience. You may be required to work with children with SEN on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to help enhance learning. You will be responsible helping the class teacher ensure that the students day runs smoothly and that the students receive the best education possible.

Good communication skills are important in this role as you will need to understand how to communicate effectively with the students you are working with and help to keep them engaged.  You will also need to communicate with the class teacher on the students’ progress and plan for any additional support with work they may need. You may be required to print additional work sheets for the students.

 Previous experience with SEN would be beneficial. We also required you to have a full, clean drivers’ licence and access to your own vehicle. You will need to be aware of Child Protection, Health and Safety, Behaviour, Teaching and Learning and Equal Opportunities policies. You will also need a Child Workforce DBS which can be completed during the recruitment process.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
