Architecture is a strategic function for Erste Digital that governs the application architecture and the technology stack in Erste Digital. Group architecture plays a crucial role in designing and optimizing IT systems and business processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance competitiveness. In this role you are directly reporting to the Managing Director of Erste Digital. Together with the team your mission is to ensure a unified implementation of the overall target architecture across divisions. Pushing strategic projects, you set future architecture standards such as cloud adoption and platform architecture.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Ensure state-of-the-art IT Solution portfolio: Together with your team you develop modern and sustainable IT architecture.
  • Development of Architecture Targets: Together with the architecture chapter you define the applied technologies and set architecture and software development standards to ensure efficiency and scalability of our systems.
  • Technical Leadership: You work closely with development and operations teams to solve technical challenges and define and promote best practices.
  • Risk Management: You identify potential risks in the architecture and develop strategies to minimize risks.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: You communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external stakeholders to convey the architectural vision and gain support.

You Check These Boxes

  • You have several years of experience within a large corporate organizational structure, also outside the Financial Services industry, and know how to navigate within a cross-border, lateral competency framework to achieve your goals.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in a senior leading role as Architect, Senior Technology Lead or Senior Development Lead or a comparable role.
  • You bring profound leadership skills and several years of experience in leading and developing people with you.
  • You convince with a proven track record of understanding technological trends and defining company-wide standard architectures as well as software development standards.
  • You are experienced in understanding business and IT requirements and in translating those in concrete design and technology stacks, always balancing evolution of the tech stack and standardization.
  • You empower your team by promoting team responsibility and creating a framework where teams have autonomy and feel accountable for their results.
  • You foster high-performance and development within your team by enabling talents to grow.
  • You use your excellent communication, convincing and presentation skills to establish trusted relationships with board and executive management.
  • You believe in change: Your self-confidence is based on your profound knowledge and experience.
  • Your place of employment is Vienna, and you speak fluent English, and you are directly reporting to the CEO of ERSTE Digital.
