The position is based in Heerenveen, in the Netherlands, the projects will be executed within the borders or internationally.The position includes nearly 20% travelling (sometimes 3-4 weeks long business trips), globally anywhere, depending on the project.
Place in the organization: Manager Evaporator Process Engineering: The Manager Evaporator Process Engineering is responsible for coaching and assessing the Technical Product Manager Evaporator.What you will do
  • Under delegation of the responsible Product Manager, execute and control the technology of the assigned products to ensure that they remain the preferred solution during the entire Product Life Cycle (PLC).
  • Support the Lead / Senior Engineers in the Business Unit hubs and Market Companies in the assigned Clusters to apply the technology of the assigned products in pre-projects and projects
  • Develop and recommend conceptual designs of the product for the commercial teams in the BU Hubs and Market Companies in the assigned Clusters based on customer and local regulatory requirements.
  • Provide support to the Commercial Team in the BU's and MC's with regard to custom designed solutions deviating from the released standard product.
  • Create and maintain product specifications for the assigned products and auxiliary equipment (Engineering Manual) in accordance with Tetra Pak guidelines. The product specifications will be released by the Product Manager E&D.
  • Create, coordinate and execute training programs for the assigned products to interested parties such as Hubs, BU CPS entities, Market Companies and external customers.
  • Create and maintain tools and guidelines to design the products and auxiliary equipment.
  • Support the Product Manager Evaporator in initiating and executing Product Improvement Activities including involvement in R&D idea generation and R&D project execution.
  • Support the Product Manager Evaporator with the Product Performance data for the assigned products (Product Performance Database).
  • Support the Product Manager Evaporator as an expert in solving complex product technology problems with project engineering, commissioning of the product, warranty or claims.
  • Cooperate with the Product Manager Evaporator in collecting and filing Competitor Data.
  • Cooperate with the Product Manager Evaporator on advising internal and external parties regarding spare parts, upgrades and maintenance.
  • Organise regular meetings with Lead / Senior Engineers to gather input/new ideas for further development (of products, processes).
  • Ensure that the Lead / Senior Engineers timely receive any relevant information pertaining to the technology of assigned products;
  • Guide the Lead / Senior Engineers when implementing new standards, templates, technology, ensuring information is stored properly;
  • Report to the Product Manager Evaporator on the implementation of the technology of assigned products in the hubs.
  • Create and maintain Installed Base Database for the assigned product.
We believe you have
  • Experience more than 8 years and/or 6 evaporator projects as a process engineer, preferable different customers and different consumer products
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical or process technology
  • Capital equipment implementation experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of standards like EHEDG, FDA, ATEX
  • Good fluency in English, both written and spoken; Dutch knowledge is much appreciated
  • Strong MS Office skills are essential
  • Confident in presentations at customers' meetings

  • have good communication and presentation skills - you can build good relationship with people both externally and internally
