BrilliantIN is currently looking for two/three Payroll Contractors for an 8/9 month term to lead and conclude a large Payroll implementation/migration project.

Hiring Requirements:

* We need 2-3 contractors for payroll parallel runs.

* Export data from teamspirit and input it into SFP World Service.

* No implementation or project management experience is needed.

* You should have experience with UK payroll and be comfortable learning new systems.

* The contract is for 8-9 months, starting in June/July 2024 with a day rate of £200-£350 (inside/outside IR35).

* The work is remote with guidance from the Executive Director of Operations & UK Ongoing Manager.

The Vacancy:

We are seeking experienced Payroll professionals to support a large Payroll project involving about 500+ Payrolls. The ideal candidates should have experience in payroll migration or payroll integrations/implementations and join a positive and existing Professional Services Team. Your role will ensure a seamless journey for every customer to the new software.

Responsibilities:

* Support the transition of payroll products to the new solution

* Prepare customer data for the transition

* Act as payroll expert and lead in implementing a new Payroll platform

* Work as part of the internal project team, alongside system implementers and the platform provider, to ensure the new system is delivered on time, to budget and meets all required legislative standards.

* Deliver key milestones within the project including set up and configuration, data migration, integrations for all pay groups, and liaising with technical resources where necessary.

* Develop test cases, create test data and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure the setup meets requirements.

* Undertake parallel runs, resolving any discrepancies between old and new payrolls

* Critique current processes and develop best practice payroll processes for the new system implementation.

* Document ‘to be’ process maps, procedures and training materials and aids, providing full training materials for future reference.

Other Responsibilities:

* Support the training of central payroll officers and local payroll administrators

* Work with recently acquired units to oversee their BAU payroll and work with the managed payroll provider associated with the recently acquired units to ensure the ongoing smooth operation of their payroll.

* Develop the business case and implementation plan to move from paying hourly colleagues in arrears to paying at the end of the current month once the new system is live.

* Manage all projects by appropriate methodologies, including plans, resources, risks, issues, and budgets.

About You:

* Must hold a CIPP qualification at payroll technician level or above or be studying towards this

* Knowledge and experience in implementing a new payroll system

* Knowledge and experience in calculating Statutory Payments SSP, SMP SAP, SPP, etc.

* Previous experience in handling all the payroll elements of a reasonably sized TUPE into an organisation, including the integration of payroll information, handling of multiple pension scheme information, and setting up of payroll processes different from those of the main organization

* Experience in managing a team of people processing payroll

* Excellent IT skills i.e, Payroll Software, Excel, Word, and e-mail, with the ability to analyse, interpret and report data in a meaningful way

* Ability to prioritize workload / proven organizational skills/work to prescribed deadlines
