Quality Control Engineer - Stamford - Attractive Package

ALH Recruitment are looking to recruit a Quality Control Engineer with immediate effect for our global leading client based in Stamford, Lincolnshire.

Role - Quality Control Engineer

Our leading client is looking for a proactive Quality Control Engineer with skills/experience in quality control, with knowledge and experience of welding/fabrication including application of appropriate EN and ASME standards and NDT techniques.

Responsibilities:
• Preparation and sign off of project Final Inspection Release Certificates, Inspection Test Plans (ITP) and inspection and test procedures.
• Review and approval of vendor manufacturing data (WPS/PQR/NDE/painting procedures/ITPetc).
• Reviewing of Inspection and Test Records including sign off and approval of final Manufacturing Record Books (MRB)
• Provide inspection cover for European suppliers as and when required.
• Carry out dimensional, visual, NDE and other inspections of equipment during manufacture and on completion.
• To provide Quality Control support to all departments.
• Provide support to Project Managers as required.
• Ensure the company Quality Control Objectives are achieved.
• Look to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
• To understand and work to Company guidelines and observe all Company policies.
• To ensure that the Company QHSE Policy is adhered to, actively promoting a healthy, safe and environmentally responsible working environment.
• Reviewing of fabrication drawings, preparation of Weld Procedures, preparation of Manufacturing, Engineering and Testing Procedures.

About You:
• A relevant degree (desirable)
• Knowledge of structural steel and pipework fabrication, CE Marking, Pressure Equipment Directive (2014/68/EU) and ISO 3834
• Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Office Visio
• Excellent communicator, verbal and written
• Ability to implement new processes
• Experience in a Quality Control Engineering Role within an engineering/manufacturing site or similar
• A relevant formal qualification would be preferred
• CSWIP 3.1, PCN level II DPE, MPI, Radiographic interpretation, Industrial Radiograph (desirable)
• Knowledge of Euronorm and ASME Construction, inspection, and welding codes and standards
• European Welding Engineer (desirable)
• Excellent team player
• Resourceful, well organised, highly dependable, efficient and detail orientated
• Confident and assertive
• Ability to use initiative and make decisions autonomously
• Must live within 1-hour commute to the office, or willing to relocate locally.
• Must be willing to travel internationally when a need arises.
