Morgan McKinley, Cambridgeshire are proud to be supporting a fast-paced FMCG business in Spalding, Peterborough. They are seeking a commercial, driven and hands on Finance Business Partner who can take real ownership of the workload and influence decisions across the business.
The permanent Finance Business Partner role in Spalding, Peterborough is an office-based role partnering with the operational side of the business.
The ideal candidate for the Finance Business Partner role in Spalding will need to have some experience in fast paced environment as well as collaborating with the wider business at all levels.
Our client is looking for a Finance Business Partner to join their dynamic team whilst reporting to the Financial Controller. This position comes with autonomy as you will help improve financial performance as well as advise key stakeholders.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Produce management accounts for multiple sites
Provide commentary and insight to key stakeholders
Challenge performance and drive action to support the business involving reducing costs
Business partner with the operational team providing commercial and procurement financial input and insight regarding tender processes, service provision models, new business opportunities, price modelling and inflation recovery
Support the analysis of business performance
Co-ordinate the generation of the commercial, purchasing, and operational elements of Budgets and Forecasts
Ensure the costing system is maintained, up to date and error free
Contribute to an efficient and robust month-end process ensuring any differences to reported weekly flash numbers are understood and communicated
Person Specification
Ideally a qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) but active studiers or QBE welcome
Experience within FMCG, Manufacturing, logistics or retail
Ability and confidence to make decisions, challenge others and business partner with the wider team
Stakeholder management skills and experience
Strong excel skills
Works well under pressure and in a fast paced environment
Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
Aptitude for practical problem solving
Excellent attention to detail
