St Andrew’s Healthcare is a charity providing specialist mental healthcare for patients with some of the most complex, challenging mental health needs in the UK. They provide care across a number of services, including Men’s Mental Health, Women’s Mental Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), Neuropsychiatry, Autistic Spectrum Disorder and Learning Disability, with the majority of their 600 patients referred via the NHS.

The Head of Strategic Maintenance will support the delivery of a customer focussed estates and facilities function in line with Charity’s corporate and asset strategy. The estates function is set to embark on a period of transformation to operate in a more commercial manner whilst ensuring the delivery of excellent patient care.

Reporting to the Director of Estates & Facilities, the Head of Strategic Maintenance will drive the strategic direction, implementation and operational management of asset lifecycle planning, estates backlog management and compliance assurance; additionally leading the transformation of CAFM systems and associated Helpdesk function. The role is accountable for the delivery of effectively planned maintenance across our diverse estate including all aspects of M&E/building services and fabric.

The successful candidate will, ideally be, qualified to degree level or equivalent in an Engineering/Building Services/Building Surveying discipline with extensive experience in the management of planned maintenance. Strong programme management coupled with commercial skills will be essential. This role will suit professionals with experience across diverse and complex estates who must be adept in delivering ‘best in class’ maintenance services.

The Head of Strategic Maintenance position offers the opportunity to be a senior member of the estates leadership team and to work on behalf of a national charity who provide outstanding patient care.
