Primary role:
To ensure the service is carried out in accordance with the Borough Council’s contract specifications. Work within Health and Safety legislative requirements. Ensure full compliance with Urbaser Quality and Environmental procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
* To follow safety instructions and drive in a safe, lawful and efficient manner
* Adhere to Road Traffic Legislation
* Carry out vehicle checks daily
* Report any defects to the Supervisor immediately
* Perform duties in a courteous, clean and efficient manner •
* To carry out any other such reasonable job-related tasks as the Company may require you to undertake from time to time.
Job Specifications:
* To be physically fit and able to carry out duties in adverse weather condition
* Good communication skills
Desirable characteristics:
* Experience in working within the waste industry
* Have local knowledge of collection route
* Able to work in a team
* Honest and trustworthy
* Able to work in a team and under own supervision.
