Fire Detection Estimating and Design Engineer
Location: Nottingham
Salary: up to £35k
This is an office-based role in Nottingham.
A local Fire and Security company undergoing considerable growth and investment are urgently looking to add an Estimating and Design engineer to their staff.
Purpose of Role – Estimating and Design Engineer
You will:
* Design responsibility and the production of fire alarm design proposals.
* Manage several designs / proposals at any one time and prioritising according to project needs.
* Ensure that all designs & proposals produced are accurately costed and priced to align with customer requirements and company policy.
* Ensuring all quotations are compliant with the relevant standards & regulations e.g.CDM, fire alarm British standards etc.
Candidate requirements – Estimating and Design Engineer
The ideal candidate must come from the Fire Safety industry as an Estimating and Design Engineer or similar. You will also have the following skills, qualifications, and experience:
* Experienced fire design engineer (FIA design qualification or similar)
* Technical knowledge of different manufacturers fire systems (i.e. Notifier, Gent, Advanced)
* Professional approach when dealing with customers, end users, contractors, and internal colleagues. Ability to communicate and develop relationships is essential.
* Clean UK Driving Licence
* Full Right to Work in the UK
