At Select, we're proud to partner with this forward-thinking company as they continue to expand their operations. They're currently seeking a proactive and dedicated Assistant Configuration Engineer to join their team and play a vital role in their continued success.

As the Assistant Configuration Engineer, you'll work closely with the Configuration and Engineering Support Manager, providing essential configuration control and administrative support throughout the entire life cycle of our client's products.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Creating and approving engineering parts, documentation, and Bills of Material for release to manufacture and procurement.
Assisting with the company's change management process, maintaining product structures and configuration items while ensuring the integrity of revised parts and documentation.
Adhering to agreed best practice policies and approved operating procedures in line with Configuration Management Principles and processes.
Managing engineering permission settings and ensuring efficient and timely transfer of completed work and documentation in line with the Configuration Manager/Company's requirements and timescale.
Assisting the Configuration and Engineering Support Manager with general engineering administration duties.
We're looking for someone with:

An HND Qualification in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent working experience within a similar role.
Experience in design, support, or manufacturing processes/procedures.
Familiarity with technical drawings, schematics, and Bills of Materials.
Experience working with an ERP system.
Strong computer literacy, particularly in the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
Excellent administration skills with a keen eye for detail.
Flexibility and the ability to work effectively in a small team to achieve shared goals and objectives.
Self-motivation and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Methodical and diligent approach with exceptional problem-solving skills.
Excellent planning and organisational abilities.
Adaptability and a positive attitude towards change.
