Salary amounts quoted are from the 1 September to 31 August and therefore if you commence employment part way through the academic year they are subject to an equated salary adjustment

Northern Education Trust (NET) is a charitable education Trust with a good track record for school improvement. The Trust sponsors 28 academies; 15 secondary and 13 primaries across the North of England in twelve Local Authority regions.

The successful candidate will have a proven record and be able to demonstrate excellent catering and customer service skills. This role requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to different kitchen environments within the academy trust. The role is predominantly covering the North East however occasional travel to the North West will be required.

Main responsibilities include:

* To support the academy kitchens when experiencing staff absences.

* Preparing & cooking breakfast, break and lunch and supporting academy functions as required when key members of staff are absent.

* Monitoring and controlling stock levels, ensuring correct stock rotation and storage procedures are followed.

* To support the Trust Catering Manager to implement training to the teams to ensure the department always delivers a high standard catering service.

* To assist the central catering team with the menu development process.
