We’re hiring a Design Engineer (Level 1) to join a forward-thinking team within the engineering sector at their site based in Burnley.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design and development of new products from concept to final approval, supporting both our customers and manufacturing base.

What will you be doing as a Level 1 Design Engineer?
* Designing and optimising mechanical components to ensure accuracy and compliance with design codes and customer specifications
* Managing projects from concept through to testing, approvals, and market launch
* Performing detailed design calculations and FE analysis
* Creating detailed drawings using CREO and managing them through the company intranet
* Analysing mechanical systems for structural, fatigue, thermal, vibration, and acoustics performance
* Collaborating closely with the production team and purchasing department during procurement and manufacturing stages
What do you need?
* A degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSc or BEng)
* Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
* Proficiency in FE analysis and familiarity with CREO software
