Architect job in Manchester with an employee-owned AJ100 company specialising in heritage and conservation works across the UK and globally, this is a contract position and you will be required on-site primarily, lasting up to 8 weeks!

Our client was founded in the 1940s and has grown to over 300 people across 11 UK offices. During this time, they have established themselves as an industry leader in planning advice, heritage consultancy, building surveying, conservation, and contemporary architecture.

Working with public bodies, charities, trusts, private companies, contractors, developers, and individuals, this practice has been involved in the care and development of some of the best-loved buildings and places in the UK and abroad. The practice provides sensitive restoration and repair schemes and modern design in historic contexts. Their bold and contemporary designs are spread across a variety of sectors including cultural, master planning, education, ecclesiastical, public, hospitality, residential, and many more.

Role & Responsibilities

You will be working on a public, listed building in Manchester
Effectively work within a team reporting to Seniors and Associates
Working on the construction phases of a project
Using your strong design skills in BIM/ Revit
Produce technical detailing packages and deliver them to the site
Liaise with clients and manage queries and problems as and when they come up
Use your knowledge of UK building and planning regulations.Required Skills & Experience

Part III qualified with experience in a UK practice
Demonstrate good client-facing communication skills
Previous experience working on conservation projects is not essential
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit software is essential
Have a strong understanding of UK Building and Planning regulations
Confident working across stage 4/5 of a project.What you get back
