Design Engineer (Commercial Solar) - Overview
We are currently working with one of the largest Solar companies in the UK who are looking for a Project Engineer with experience in Commercial PV & Battery Storage projects. The company themselves are a hugely successful business with 3 offices, over 300 members of staff and are currently going from strengths to strength with strong growth plans. They can offer the opportunity for all employees to develop and progress in their career. They have been operating for over 20 years and have completed over 50,000 domestic & commercial Solar installations during that time.
The role would be overseeing the Tender, Design and Delivery stages for Commercial Solar projects, mostly Roof Mount with occasional Ground Mount systems. Typical projects range from 100MW - 1MW in size and your role will be imperative to the installation process. Once the Project has been acquired, the Project Manager will attend the site to gather all of the information that will be required for the Design and Spec of the system, you will then produce the Design for the system, produce schematics and basic RAMS and more. You will then collate other required information such as the RAMS from the Scaffolding Teams, Installation Teams and more and together will your design, create the installation pack which will be provided to the client and team moving forward to the delivery stage.
They currently use PVSol as their main software for designing systems so experience with this would be helpful however experience on a similar software experience will also be advantageous.
