SEN Nanny, Wallingford, OX10. A fantastic full-time role available for a proactive, dynamic, and reliable SEN professional to support a bright, sociable and determined teen with an Acquired Brain Injury. £35,275.00 Gross per Annum.

Driver Essential? Yes, with your own car and happy to use it for work purposes (mileage and costs covered)
Essential: Previous experience supporting a young person / teenager with additional needs, excellent communication skills. *female applicants only.
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: 42 hours on average per week. Term-time Monday to Friday 7.30am – 10.30am and then 2.30pm – 7.00pm School holidays: Monday to Friday 8.00am – 7.00pm. Additional hours available on Saturdays if desired.

About this client/child: Ivy is 13 years old, living with her Mum in Wallingford. She is a determined, energetic, funny, and bubbly teen with a love for music, baking, lunching in local cafés, playing on her iPad / devices and her big passion is caring and exercising her horses. Being a typical teenager, Ivy enjoys socialising with her friends, and may need some extra encouragement to complete her homework! Ivy sustained an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) at birth, and as a result she has epilepsy (controlled via medication) and a mild physical disability. Ivy attends a mainstream school setting, continues to work on her rehabilitation programmes with her therapy team, and requires an SEN Nanny to assist her with her daily routine. Ivy’s Mum works full-time, therefore Ivy’s SEN Nanny is an integral part of the team.
Overview of role: Ivy’s SEN Nanny will assist with the morning and afterschool routine, including school drop off and pick ups (using your own car). Ivy requires minimal assistance, mostly prompting and guidance with day-to-day tasks. The role will involve working alongside Ivy’s therapy team to implement her therapy programme, training is provided. After school, Ivy may have some extracurricular activities planned and there are typical duties such as preparing meals and snacks, running errands, light cleaning / tidy up etc. You and Ivy will have the opportunity to plan different age-appropriate activities or explore new hobbies and interests. There is plenty of scope to plans day trips etc. during the school holidays. Additional hours available two Saturdays per month, if desired.
