ENGLISH TEACHER – PRESTWOOD

Supply Desk are working with a fantastic school located in Prestwood who are looking to appoint a committed and ambitious English Teacher to teach as a part of their excellent team. This role is a great chance to join a team who have a passion to help support adults to achieve their goals.

The role includes:

Hold QTS / PGCE or the equivalent (Unqualified Teachers also welcome to apply)
Experience of teaching English at KS3, KS4 or KS5
Good knowledge of the English curriculum
Passion for teaching and has a dedication and is a good team player and natural leader
Determined, hardworking and ready to hit the ground running and provide the best learning experience possible for the pupils.
Responsibilities include:

Develop and deliver engaging English lessons that align with curriculum standards.
Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
Use formative and summative assessment strategies to monitor student learning and growth.
Offer timely and specific feedback that highlights strengths and areas for improvement, guiding students toward academic success.
Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and school initiatives.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
Cultivate a passion for literature by using a variety of literary genres and authors.
Integrate technology and digital tools to enhance learning experiences and promote digital literacy.
Establish clear expectations for behaviour and academic performance, fostering a positive and respectful classroom culture
Encourage collaboration and peer interaction through group work, cooperative learning activities, and inclusive discussions
