The Client
Our client is a busy independent Cafe on the grounds of an education unit in Cranleigh that help support adults in the acquisition of transferable life skills.
The cafe is a Monday - Friday daytime business.

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced cook looking for varied role in a friendly café. Working in a team of 4, the site provides catering services to the visitors and tenants of the Park as well as volunteering and work place opportunities to young people and adults. The role of Cook will be responsible for serving an appetising range of breakfasts, light lunches, cakes and snacks to site staff, film crews and visitors. The meals are made freshly to order for all our takeaway and eat in customers so the ideal candidate will have a passion for both freshly cooked food and providing a great customer experience.

Responsibilities
The cook will be responsible for:
 Preparing and serving a variety of high quality, appetising and well-presented cook to order breakfasts, lunches and snacks
Contributing to menu planning and ideas to drive variety of choice for customers and improved revenue
Using a daily cleaning rota to ensure all areas of kitchen are clean, tidy and maintained to the highest standard, including fridges, freezers and floor
Complying with Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations at all times
Working closely with the Café Chef Manager in the day-to-day operational requirements of the Café. Requirements:
As cook you will have:
Proven experience of cooking & baking in a similar setting (restaurant, café, canteen or pub etc.)
Qualifications in Food Safety & Hygiene and Understanding Allergens is desirable
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Be motivated and Hard Working
Confident and customer focused team player with a positive attitude and passion for good food
The ability to work well under pressure and manage your time effectively
Driving Licence (Due to remote location) Salary and Benefits
Salary: £25,298 (£27,105 FTE)
Hours: Monday to Friday 7.30am to 3.00pm (35 hours per week)

Sociable hours (Monday- Friday, 3pm finish and no weekends!)
