Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an Organisation Design Practitioner for our Public Sector client.

The Organisation Design Practitioner will be working within the people directorate to support the transformation agenda for the organisation. The appointed Organisation Design Practitioner will lead design activities, ensuring that all materials are managed correctly and will be involved in the day-to-day design work, and will ensure that the consistent application of organisation design principles and methodologies, in addition to supporting workforce planning and the building of robust operating models.

Key responsibilities for the Organisation Design Practitioner are;

Involve and assist leadership, stakeholders, and important process owners in evaluating the structures, procedures, and methods of operation that are in place while requesting feedback from functional experts and cross-organizational leadership
Evaluate intricacies, overlaps, deficiencies, and ineffectiveness
Identify learning and development interdependencies within the organisation and create plans to solve them by collaborating with experts in organisation design and change leaders
Make design recommendations and evaluate them, getting feedback from stakeholders and collaborating with colleagues in Finance and People to describe the design and its effects so that proposals can be thoroughly evaluated, and any modifications are clearly comprehended and accounted for in project plans
Produce and oversee decision logs, design documents, and any other pertinent paperwork
The Ideal candidate for the Organisation Design Practitioner will have;

Comprehensive understanding of the entire process of designing an organisation, whether as a devoted professional in the field or as an HR specialist with successful project management expertise.
Demonstrated aptitude for using change management and organisation design techniques
Proficiency in workforce planning with an eye towards the future
Proven ability to deal with the relationships between systems, people, and processes to effectively drive organisational effectiveness
Thorough understanding of various design tools and their efficient use.

The Organisation Design Practitioner will need to have excellent communication skills and effectively be able to communicate to stakeholders of all levels. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have an impeccable eye for detail and accuracy to ensure all workload is carried out effectively and efficiently. They will also need to able to prioritise their workload and be efficient and effective to meet unpredictable deadlines and deal with conflicting demands.
