Location: Dungeness or Ashford (Hybrid working available once qualified)

Hours of work: 5 days per week (37 hours per week)

Our client, who are leading in the nuclear generation industry now have an immediate requirement for an Funding Skills Lead at their site in Dungeness or Ashford. The successful applicant will be accountable for oversight of in-year and future levy draw-down financial reporting across multiple Nuclear Stations. They will be responsible for stakeholder engagement within defueling stations and working with other areas of the NSA, translate business requirements into levy draw-down business cases. They will be responsible for stakeholder management and influencing into ECITB and other external stakeholders, as required.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate of the following skills/experience:

Demonstrable understanding of the ECITB, its operational structure and remit to operate.
A strong financial background.
A knowledge of major project/business workforce skills requirements.
A knowledge of the UK training and skills market, provider capability and associated funding regimes and be competent to leverage these options to the benefit of the project.
Ability to create and maintain robust processes for future recovery.
Experienced senior manager with demonstrable track record in setting up and delivery of large-scale training programmes.
Experience of large-scale organisational change in a diverse and challenging environment.
A strong commercial focus and capable of performing in a commercially focused programme management environment where the achievement of contract milestones to quality and cost is fundamental to the success of the business.
Strong negotiation and influencing skills with experience in customer and stakeholder relations.
Excellent organisational, communication and influencing skills.

Role information:

Report activities through a dashboard showing KPIs to Nuclear Decommissioning.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive clarity of roles and responsibilities, governance, and measurement models for implementing levy draw down and assessing the positive financial impacts.
Coordination with the Levy Working Group which will act as the focus for training development requests in co-ordination within all aspects of EDF's Training.
Regular reporting via dashboard on finances to budget holder(s).
Management of the ECITB MSB portal entries.
Co-ordination of inputs from PMOs to the ECITB Levy Working Group.
Acting as SME for ECITB/Defueling stations relationship.
Generating 'value add' interventions from ECITB.
Target and drive recovery of ECITB levy.
Consulting and owning the grant support ambitions for Defueling stations, supporting the training delivery commitments associated.
Influencing the business on strategy of funding streams and owning the delivery of this ensuring all lessons learnt through working with skills bodies are implemented in the future.
Supporting the drive to support the wider organsation considerations in connection with the Funding Skills Manager.
