Cost Manager – (Quantity Surveyor, Mechanical & Electrical Engineer)

In partnership with a global technology company, we are seeking a Cost Manager to drive cost efficiency and accuracy across EMEA projects. This role entails managing the cost estimation processes, ensuring financial oversight, and maintaining stringent quality standards in cost management.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the complete cost estimation and quality assurance for construction projects, ensuring optimal allocation of budget and resources throughout the EMEA region. Collaborate closely with Sales Engineering, Design & Construction, and Operations teams to secure and analyse installation costs, fostering an environment of competitive and precise financial planning.

* Manage and execute quantity take-offs and detailed estimates for various projects, including large scale enterprise suites.

* Ensure that all installation costs are meticulously documented and reported on a monthly and quarterly basis.

* Maintain and update a comprehensive database of unit costs and vendor quotes to support cost-effective and accurate project estimations.

* Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities by working closely with design engineers and vendors.

* Facilitate the integration of competitive and accurate costing in client proposals through detailed analysis and vendor management.

* Support cross-functional teams including Procurement, Supply Chain, and Finance by providing essential cost-related insights and forecasts.

* Engage with contractors and suppliers to negotiate and secure the best pricing for construction and fit-out activities.

* Participate in vendor qualification processes including managing RFPs and bid levelling to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.

* Provide crucial support in material sourcing, pricing, and defining technical specifications to meet project and operational needs.

* Adapt swiftly to changing project requirements and priorities, maintaining high levels of organisation and deadline orientation.
