Interaction Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join a fast paced busy warehouse in Luton. This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday 09:00 to 18:00, the successful candidate will join on a temp2perm basis after 12 weeks.

Pay Rate: £13.50per hour + Holiday Pay

This role involves:

Responsible for the health & safety in the warehouse, including encouraging use of near misses and ensuring countermeasures and preventative actions are brefied to all staff.
Responsible for day to day to ensure all products and picked, checked, packed & dispatched - avoiding damage to stock whilst in transit.
Delegation of responsibilities to team and ongoing monitoring of performance.
Promoting and positively leading by example a  ‘One Team’ culture.
Carry out daily briefings with the team and ongoing 1-2-1s, PDRs and performance reviews.
Ensure the team always follow our stringent company values and if necessary, escalate any concerns to Senior Management Team.
Effective and succinct communication across all departments within Europa, both verbally (in person or on the phone) and via written email.
Maintain high stock integrity across all activities and ensure all stock discrepancies are reported and investigated by the appropriate team.
Manage and communicate with suppliers and customers professionally and efficiently.
Administer required documentation and system data input as per laid down procedures.
Carry out any other duties appropriate for this post and other warehouse activities as required.
Working with other Team Leaders to manage floor space and minimise congestion within the warehouse.
Supporting correct processes for safe and environmental disposal of all types of waste.
To be considered for this role you must have / be:

Previously managed / lead a team in a warehouse for a minimum of 2 years.
A minimum of 5 years warehouse experience.
Fluent English speaking, reading and writing.
Strong H&S knowledge,
Used to using a Warehouse Management System.
Able to think on your feet and be able to map out the best way to solve problems.
Able to work in a fast paced warehouse and be able to adapt quickly to changes and deal with high pressure.
Used to working in an agile working environment where requirements and staffing plans are adjusted with little notice.
Leads by example and has a natural ability to want to develop team and create succession plans.
Confident communicator in both written and verbal communication with colleagues, suppliers and customers alike.
Possesses the ability to review processes and make efficiency suggestions to the senior management team and follow these through to fruition once approved.
Experienced in setting, understanding and monitoring performance KPIs.
Analytical ability with a data driven approach.
Possesses good problem solving skills.
Confident in gathering data and creating departmental reports.
Has a hands-on approach to getting the job done.
Able to demonstrate successful collaborative working with peers to achieve a common goal
Self-motivated, and able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team; enthusiastic with a ‘can do’ attitude.
Competent in Microsoft Programmes (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Comfortable with standing or walking, up to 8 hours day
Comfortable lifting and moving products up to 20kg, in some instances, at a height of approx. 2 metres
