Astute's Power Team is partnered with a major market leading energy to recruit a Combined, Heat & Power (CHP) Service Engineer to cover their sites in Reading, Heathrow and Slough.
The pivotal CHP Service Engineer role comes with a salary of up to £37,000 + company van + overtime + on call payments + excellent benefits.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Service Manager you will:
Carrying our daily, weekly, and monthly inspection and maintenance checks on the different sites
Completion of maintenance plan for the asset which will include risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) for minor works
Logging faults and identifying fault trend analysis to provide solutions
Create site maintenance plans whilst sharing ideas amongst colleagues and improve plans where necessary
Support other operations team activities to work as one whole team, which will include travelling to different regions if needed
Professional qualifications and experience
We are looking for someone with the following:
Ideally an apprentice trained engineer within Mechanical/Electrical engineering disciplines.
An NVQ Level 3
Experience working on large engines (Jenbacher, Deutz, MAN, MTU, Perkins, etc)
This role will suit Marine Engineers who has experience working with large diesel engines
Understanding of 3 phase electrical systems
Basic understanding of control systems
A Full UK Driving licence is a necessity for this role
Personal skills
The CHP Service Engineer role would suit someone who is:
Prepared to travel to multiple sites when asked.
Flexible in being able to work on a call-out system
