My client is designing electronics using advanced technologies such as SiC and GaN to combine compressors and turbines to deliver reliable and a more sustainable methods to run combustion engines.
They are now looking to grow their team in Portsmouth by adding a Senior Electrical Systems Engineer. You will be working on 4 exciting new projects that they have just won, which includes their ultra high-speed electric motor drives.
Experience needed as a Senior Electrical Systems Engineer:
To work across NPD/I (New Product Development/Introduction), released products, applications and facilities.
Be involved in the design verification test (DVT) of power electronic circuits from 48v to 1kv.
To develop the electrical design of product, application or equipment inclusive of wiring, busbars, component selection and their internal layout design.
To be a key problem solver to resolve design or manufacturing issues on both existing products, applications, new developments and facilities.
To define, develop and maintain engineering documents such as system wiring diagrams, schematics, FMEA, safety hazards and risk assessments.
Knowledge and qualifications needed as a Senior Electrical Systems Engineer:
Degree in degree in Senior Electronic Engineering or other relevant discipline with a demonstrable level of industrial experience.
It'll be a bonus if you have knowledge/experience with automation and control platforms, e.g. programmable Logic Controllers, RTU's, Industrial PC's, single-board computers and Microcontrollers. Experience with EPLAN, Solidworks Electrical or similar electrical CAD programs.
