The Company

My client is a well-established and well-respected Main Contractor. Due to their continued success and organic expansion plans they are looking to recruit a Site Foreman to join their Swindon Property Services team, which specialises in projects from £150 up to £300k, with a high proportion of business coming from a network of core clients.

Operating from their Swindon regional office they deliver design and build, new build and refurbishment projects up to £25m in value across most sectors including but not limited to; Education, Arts and Culture, NHS, Sports & Leisure, Commercial and MOD works. Contracts are split evenly between traditional and design & build, with a high proportion of their work (up to 60%) being won on a negotiated basis. They take pride in providing a quality product to their clients and also take pride on their high level of staff retention.

They consider themselves to have the professionalism of a PLC but the flexibility of a regional contractor. Taking a non-adversarial approach to their work has resulted in a very strong order book with a good proportion of repeat business from their clients.

The Role

As a Site Foreman you will generally be based out on site managing various different projects within the property services division. Projects range in value, generally from £150 up to £300k, with most projects being within an hour’s drive of Swindon. The majority of projects are maintenance, refurbishment and fit-out orientated.

Candidate

Applications are welcome from local candidates with previous experience of managing maintenance and construction projects with similar values. Being able to motivate site teams and trades people is a must as well as having a keen eye for detail and being able to produce quality projects and finishes for final handover to the customer. SMSTS or SSSTS certificates are advantageous but training will be provided if required.

Communication, attention to detail and working collaboratively are crucial in this role. You will have a positive attitude and confident approach, being able to communicate with people at all levels. The working environment is second to none, so…..
