We are recruiting a Yard Supervisor with a Forklift Counterbalance Certificate for our client in Gloucester. As a Yard Supervisor in a busy builders' merchants, you will be responsible for assisting the warehouse team and trades people with loading vehicles, ensuring compliance with standard warehouse and transport operating procedures, and maintaining a safe and tidy working environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist with loading of vehicles, ensuring correct products and quantities are in order.
Ensure compliance with standard warehouse and transport operating procedures.
Maintain a safe and tidy working environment within the warehouse.
Conduct stock control and associated stock checks, ordering and maintaining stock levels.
Organise warehouse facilities, ensuring both the warehouse and outside yard are always tidy and accessible.
Input inward goods and manage documentation and returns to suppliers.
Drive forklift and stack/rack new stock.
Requirements:
Forklift Counterbalance Certificate.
Previous experience in a supervisory role or working in a builder's merchant (Essential).
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Health and safety awareness.
Ability to lead a team.
Excellent attention to detail.
Basic computer and data input skills.
Further information:
Day shift: Monday to Thursday 07:00-16:30, & Friday 07:00-16:00.
Pay: £30,000 per year
1x 30-minute lunch break
Full training provided.
