The Opportunity

Based at Torr Works near Shepton Mallet, one of Europe's largest quarries. We are looking to expand our team with a new Head of Project Management. This is a brand new position at Aggregate Industries so you’ll have a real opportunity to develop the role and grow it in a way to benefit your career and our organisation.

As the Head of Project Management you’ll be based at our super quarry Torr Works. This is a really exciting period for our site as we look to further invest in our equipment, through projects such as modernisation and new conveyor systems. You’ll lead on 10 to 15 projects at a time with varying values from £30,000 to £5,000,000 giving you a real variety in your day to day work.

Your primary responsibility will be for the planning and managing projects, ensuring they are carried out to agreed objectives – e.g. quality, time, cost, specifications, safety and environment, leading the project from definition phase, through feasibility, tendering and contracting, through to the realisation phase.

Who Are You?

This is a new position so it has a real opportunity for you to create your own path. So you’ll need to be career driven, by being able to bring ideas and ways of working that will help grow and develop your career.

As a super quarry there are alot of projects onsite so you’ll need to have previous experience managing multiple projects, ideally in excess of £1,000,000.

You’ll have to manage multiple stakeholders across the site and wider business, so you’ll need to be an excellent communicator.

You’ll ideally have an engineering background due to the technical aspect of the role, however if you have experience managing engineering projects in industrial/ manufacturing environments then we’d still be keen to speak with you.

We are committed to building a diverse environment and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. You will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, disability or age
