We seek a highly skilled and dynamic Framework Commercial Manager to join our team as a leading fibre optic infrastructure contractor. The successful candidate will lead commercial activities for framework projects, engaging with clients, managing contracts, and ensuring contractual compliance. The role can be carried out on a hybid basis, three days in the office and two days home working. Therefore, candidates will need to reside in commuting distance of Bristol. Responsibilities:
1. Commercial Strategy: Develop and implement commercial strategies for framework projects, aligning with business objectives, client requirements, and industry best practices to maximize project profitability and mitigate commercial risks.
2. Client Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships and effectively managing communication to understand client needs, expectations, and preferences, and ensure alignment with project objectives and deliverables.
3. Contract Management: Oversee the negotiation, administration, and management of framework agreements and project contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual terms, specifications, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
4. Variations Management: Manage variations and change orders effectively, assessing their impact on project scope, cost, and schedule, negotiating equitable adjustments with clients, and ensuring timely resolution and implementation to minimize disruption and maximize project success.
5. Commercial Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks and uncertainties associated with framework projects, developing proactive strategies and contingency plans to minimize potential impacts on project performance, profitability, and client satisfaction.
6. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and reporting for framework projects, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and profitability assessments, to support informed decision-making, optimize resource allocation, and maximize project profitability.
7. Subcontractor Management: Manage subcontractor relationships and agreements, including procurement, performance monitoring, payment certification, and dispute resolution, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and project requirements.
8. Dispute Resolution: Resolve commercial disputes and claims in a timely and amicable manner, leveraging contractual knowledge and negotiation skills to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes while preserving client relationships and project objectives.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management; Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., RICS, CIPS) preferred.
* Minimum of eight years of experience in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management, ideally focusing on telecommunications, fibre optic, or utility infrastructure projects.
* Proven track record of successful client engagement and contract management in framework agreements or similar contractual arrangements.
* Strong understanding of contractual principles, with the ability to interpret contract terms, negotiate agreements, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders, and effectively manage commercial relationships.
* Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, with the ability to analyse financial data, evaluate project profitability, and identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement
