Are you an experienced and confident Accounts Payable professional with an exceptional eye for detail?

Would you like to develop your career as part of a friendly, supportive and people centred business that really prioritise customer service?

We have a great new permanent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Administrator to join a market leading manufacturing business, based in South Birmingham.

As the Accounts Payable Administrator, you will be working as part of a small finance team within this highly successful business, providing full accounts payable administration support to the Finance Controller. Overseeing the day to day running of the accounts payable function, you will ensure that internal customers and external suppliers receive the highest level of service, answering any questions or queries and acting as a key point of contact across the business.

A busy and varied role, as the Accounts Payable Administrator you will process payments and invoices for over 120 suppliers, ensuring credit notes are approved in timely manner and that agreed payment cycles are met, chasing outstanding invoices as needed. Loading payments into the banking system, you will work closely with auditors, directors and other departments regarding anomalies, issues or reports, ensuring the month end period is closed out on time.

With outstanding attention to detail and due to the international nature of this business, you will assist the Financial Controller with Foreign Exchange transactions and Forward Contracts and work with Accounts Receivable to determine/allocate transactions and ensure that systems align. You will also support the wider finance team with additional duties to ensure a streamlined and smooth service to customers and suppliers, including reconciling expenses, authorising payroll and providing stock take assistance when needed.

For this busy Accounts Payable Administrator opportunity, previous experience in a similar role will be crucial, ideally with knowledge of processing foreign transactions. Crucially you will be looking to develop a long-term career in a client focused and fast-paced environment and enjoy working at pace, handling high-volumes of transactions. You will have a no job too big or too small attitude to your work and be happy working on your own initiative as part of this small team.

In return you will receive a competitive salary and good benefits package, including free parking and an early 2.30pm finish on Friday’s, all whilst working as part of a supportive team in an expanding and market leading manufacturing business that values their staff.
