Role Overview:
As an Assistant M&E Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with our experienced quantity surveyors to support the commercial aspects of M&E projects. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in quantity surveying while contributing to the successful delivery of refurbishment projects in commercial, industrial, and education sectors. You will have the chance to develop your skills and knowledge under the guidance of our seasoned professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation of tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities and pricing schedules.
* Collaborate with the commercial team to evaluate project costs, budgets, and financial forecasts.
* Conduct cost analysis and procurement activities to ensure cost-effective project delivery.
* Assist in the negotiation and administration of subcontractor agreements and variations.
* Prepare and submit interim valuations, progress reports, and final accounts.
* Collaborate with project teams to ensure adherence to project specifications, budgets, and timelines.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
* Strong numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
* Previous experience or internship in quantity surveying or construction industry is desirable but not essential.
* Enthusiasm to learn and develop within a supportive team environment.
