Technical Support Engineer

Salary: £25000 - £30000
We are working with a complex drive controls business, seeking a Technical support Engineer to resolve customer enquiries. This is fantastic entry level role for electrically focussed maintenance or design engineers.
Day to Day of the role:
Provide desk-based telephone support to field engineers for installation and repair guidance.
Build quick and empathetic telephone rapport with engineers in high-pressure situations to resolve time-critical issues.
Assist customers with replacement product quotations during technical support calls for swift issue resolution.
Supply engineering information to office colleagues to aid them in handling technical complexities.
Participate in technical projects and contribute to training as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Good GCSEs/equivalent in Maths and English, with further qualifications to A Level, BTEC, HNC, HND standard or equivalent work experience in electrical and mechanical engineering support.
At least 12 months of professional experience in repair, installation, assembly, or technical support work, or relevant experience obtained through studies for trainee candidates.
Experience in telephone or face-to-face customer support is preferred.
Ability to handle 10-20 support requests per day efficiently.
Detailed and accurate approach to maintaining support records.
Team-oriented, with a willingness to share workloads and uphold our reputation for accessibility.
