Are you an experienced Security Control Centre Senior Alarm Operator looking for a new opportunity? Look no further! We have an exciting temporary role with our client, a leading organisation in the Utilities industry.

As a SCC Senior Alarm Operator, you will play a crucial role in the Security Control Centre, contributing to the safety and security of our client's people, assets, and reputation. Reporting directly to the SCC Manager in Corporate Security, you will join a dynamic and front-line team.

Warwick (4 days on 4 days off, 3 Shift Patterns)

Rate £46,189

Here's what you'll be doing:

Supporting the Team Leader and Operators during shifts.
Coaching and mentoring new alarm operators to aid their development and experience.
Deputising for the Team Leader when necessary.
Managing TAS and fault operations systems.
Handling incidents effectively.
Collaborating and communicating with stakeholders on sites.
Managing the service desk.
Thoroughly checking alarms throughout the day to ensure their operational status.
Monitoring multiple Gas sites across the UK using computer systems and CCTV.
Maintaining compliance with British standards BS 50518 and 7958.
Responding to alarms promptly and efficiently.
Ensuring the safety of the Engineers and sites.
Handling emergency situations with poise and professionalism.
Providing exceptional customer service through effective telephone communication.
Demonstrating good time management skills to meet deadlines.
Contributing to the effectiveness of the team.
Upholding a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Remaining calm under pressure.

To excel in this role, you'll need:

In-depth knowledge and experience with Gallagher Alarm and Access control Systems, Synectics Video & Alarm Management, Active Directory, CCTV, Video Analytics, Perimeter Intruder Detection (PID) systems, and CNI Environment.
Familiarity with the management of ISS operational service and maintenance contracts.
Proficiency in using MS Office applications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to establish and maintain successful relationships.
Strong problem-solving abilities with a logical and analytical mindset.
Competency in the security of Information Systems.
Experience in contract management.
Previous exposure to customer-focused, performance-based environments.
Proficiency in bespoke security solutions.
Familiarity with IT Service Management.
Experience working in operations or control rooms.

Desired qualifications and skills:

Full UK Driving Licence.
CCTV qualified and licenced (SIA Public Space Surveillance - CCTV).
Control room experience.
Strong qualifications or demonstrable experience in Maths, English, and IT.
Previous management experience and coaching and mentoring skills.

This role is subject to National Security Vetting (NSV) in addition to our standard background checks being undertaken. National Security Vetting requires that you meet the Minimum Residency Criteria (MRC). You will have lived continuously in the United Kingdom for the required period of time (5 years)
