A Deloitte Best Managed Company Award winner for eight years running, they pride themselves on being a full building services solutions provider and have successfully delivered multiple large-scale projects in Ireland, the UK & mainland Europe.
With a very healthy order book for the coming 12 months, they are now recruiting for a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Estimating Manager to join their team.
Job Summary:
As the successful candidate, you will have a strong background in electrical estimating, project management, and team leadership. As the Electrical Estimating Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the estimating process and leading a team of estimators to ensure accurate and timely bids for projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the entire estimating process, from reviewing bid documents to submitting final proposals
• Lead and manage a team of Electrical Estimators, providing guidance, training, and support as needed
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Review project plans and specifications to determine scope of work and required materials
• Prepare accurate and competitive bids for a variety of projects, including commercial, industrial, healthcare, industrial etc.
• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure accurate and timely project delivery
• Monitor and track project costs and budgets to ensure profitability
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and new technologies to improve estimating processes
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards at all times
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in electrical estimating, preferably in the commercial or industrial sector
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, materials, and construction methods
• Experience in project management and team leadership
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in using estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to read and interpret specifications, and technical drawings
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations
• Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field is preferred
