About my Client:
My client is looking for a talented Adaptive Packaging Designer to join their team. They are a specialised Packaging Design agency who offer in-house design, production & technology services.
Purpose of an Adaptive Packaging Designer:
You will work closely with the creative team in the UK to deliver design adaptation considering brand guidelines, range consistency and design intent.
You will be expected to take ownership of the work and make decisions within the constraints of the brand guidelines, answer the client briefs and deliver creative solutions.
You will ensure that designs and set up to meet any technical specifications and company file set up requirements.
You will be involved in multiple projects with critical deadlines that you will be required to successfully deliver on-time.
Key responsibilities of an Adaptive Packaging Designer:
Much of your daily workload will be producing retail and branded adaptation projects with support from your creative lead.
Establish close working relationships with key contacts for your role.
Ensure the creation of your design work/files meet the criteria set by the creative and production teams taking into consideration:
Brand/product/category guidelines
Range consistency
Design templates.
Technical specifications
Internal systemsSkills for an Adaptive Packaging Designer:
Creative flair with a reasonable level of technical ability.
Accurate with a keen eye for detail.
Ideally proficient in all current applications, specifically Illustrator, Photoshop.
Image manipulation and retouching.
Excellent communication skills.
Packaging design understanding an advantage.
Knowledge of print production an advantage.
Experience with using brand management systems an advantage.Requirements for an Adaptive Packaging Designer:
Creative qualification and some industry experience required.
Strong visual, written, and oral communication skills are required.
Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite required (Illustrator, Photoshop specifically) is required.
