We are currently on the lookout for a Grounds and Streets Operative to join our team in Rotherham.

The Role:

Perform street cleaning activities, including litter picking, sweeping, and emptying bins.
Maintain public parks, gardens, and open spaces by mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and planting flowers.
Assist in the maintenance and repair of public amenities, such as benches, playgrounds, and pathways.
Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Report any hazards, damage, or issues encountered during work to the supervisor.
Engage with the public in a friendly and professional manner while performing duties.
Support seasonal activities such as snow removal and gritting during winter monthsThe Candidate:

Knowledge and experience of environmental cleansing, horticultural or grounds maintenance work
Experience in the operation of using powered tools, plant and equipment
Experience of manual working in an outdoor environment
Understanding of Health and Safety requirements
Understanding of environmental issues
Working in an environment where literacy and numeracy skills have been demonstratedHow to Apply:
