Day Electrical Technician
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our client as an Engineering Team Member. The role will involve the activities of a multi-disciplined team within the manufacturing unit, ensuring that plant operational targets, product quality, customer service and health & safety objectives are met.
The Role:
* Plant inspections, including condition monitoring and TPM techniques, to an agreed frequency.
* Developing and implementing maintenance routines for all equipment.
* Planning for specific plant needs which have been defined by Day Management, including labour and materials requirements.
* Ensuring the availability of materials and spares for items of plant within their area of responsibility and identifying and organising “Critical Spares”.
* Co-ordinating with and, where required, supervising the activities of other services and contractors, including the issue and cancellation of permits, danger notices and all other relevant safe working procedures.
* Involvement in preparing shift/day reports to the requirements of the department with the team leader.
* Ensure that departmental objectives and targets are achieved.
* Be responsible for ensuring high standards of health & safety.
* Develop and initiate process improvements.
Requirements / Experience:
* Educated to an HNC level or have proven electrical experience in a heavy engineering environment.
* Be able to demonstrate an awareness of heavy engineering.
* Able to demonstrate a high level of practical Electrical hands-on skills.
* Able to demonstrate problem-solving abilities and prioritise work schedule.
This is a day shift role including weekdays and weekends.
Salary: £41,813.28 including shift allowance.
This is a Full time, Permanent position
