CARBONOMICS JOB VACANCY – WELDING - PRODUCTION OPERATOR
Job Title:Welding - Production Operator.
Job Type:Permanent.
Hours:40 hours per week
Overtime is not guaranteed but may be required on occasion.
Based: Head office.Lynx House, Mansfield Road, Aston, Sheffield.
Job Purpose Summary:Welding stainless steel blades and lugs to produce machine knives.
Start Date:ASAP
Rate of Pay: £13.50 - £15.00 plus potential productivity bonus after successful completion of job training.
Annual Holiday: 22 Days + 8 Bank Holidays
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing and TIG welding of high quality steel strips in thicknesses of 0.5mm – 2mm.
* Flattening the blades and removing distortion.
* Self-inspection of blades prior to next operation.
* Adhering to Health and Safety requirements and working in a safe manner.
* Good housekeeping skills are essential to ensure work is carried out efficiently and safely.
* Any other duties as required to assist with the day-to-day running of the business.
Role Dimensions:
* Working within the welding department, working from a PC based schedule work list.
* This role has a reporting line to two Team Leaders, the scale of responsibility may as necessary extend to the Production Manager
