Position Overview: 
As a Tax Accountant, you will play a key role in providing tax planning, compliance, and advisory services to our clients. You will work closely with our tax team to prepare and review tax returns, conduct tax research, and provide strategic tax planning advice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax law and regulations, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex tax concepts to clients effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities.
Conduct tax research and analysis on complex tax issues, regulations, and rulings to ensure compliance and minimize tax liabilities.
Assist clients with tax planning strategies, including entity structuring, mergers and acquisitions, and tax credits and incentives.
Communicate with clients to gather necessary information, explain tax issues, and provide recommendations for optimizing tax outcomes.
Stay current on changes to tax laws, regulations, and industry trends, and communicate implications to clients and internal stakeholders.
Assist with tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities, including responding to information requests and resolving tax issues.
Collaborate with other members of the tax team to identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, preferably in a public accounting firm or corporate tax department.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations, with experience in tax planning and compliance.
Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex tax laws and regulations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate tax concepts to clients and team members.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
