Role Summary:
TEAM RMS is looking for a strong Staff Accountant to join and support our rapidly growing company. We are in search of a collaborative, proactive, and detail-oriented problem-solver to add to a best-in-class accounting organization. The Staff Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager and work closely with all members of the Accounting Department including the Controller and CFO.
 
What you will do:
Treasury
Post daily bank transactions.
Positive Pay uploads
General ledger
Journal entry posting of accruals, depreciation, prepaid amortization, etc.
System integrations (HRIS to ERP system processes)
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
Accounts payable
Oversee AP and review invoice batches.
Review 1099 filings 
Expensify/Concur processing.
General
Support compliance and internal controls in areas of responsibility
Support annual financial, work comp, 401(k), PEO and other required audits
Support financial statement flux review 
Other accounting projects as needed (e.g., bank migration)

Compensation: 
The base pay range for this position is $67,500-$80,000 annually. Compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to the applicant’s skills, work experience, knowledge, abilities, education, etc. Note that this range may not apply to employees based outside of San Diego, CA.

Requirements
What we are looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
One to three years of experience in an accounting role, preferably in a high-volume transaction environment
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices (working knowledge of GAAP).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent client service skills and professional demeanor
High degree of organization and attention to detail
Strong oral and written communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate to a wide range of audiences
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
Working knowledge of an ERP system required (NetSuite preferable)
