The Iowa Primary Care Association is currently seeking a Bilingual Mental Health Therapist to join the team at a community health center in Council Bluffs, IA.
What is a community health center (FQHC)?
The largest source of comprehensive primary care for medically under-resourced communities and populations.
They have an integrated care model - medical, dental, behavioral health, and pharmacy services, patients can access comprehensive, coordinated services often under one roof.
Position Details:
Full time, 40 hours/week;
Clinic hours: M-Thurs 8AM - 7PM and Friday 8AM - 5PM
New patient: 60 min appts; Follow up: 30 min appts
Current team: 3 therapists, 2 psychiatric NPs, 1 behavioral health navigator.
Duties:
Identifies barriers and poor social determinants of health that may influence treatment.
Creates formulations after each initial assessment and identify corresponding diagnosis according to Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorder-5.
Develops with patient a comprehensive treatment plan, utilizing evidence-based interventions that work to reduce impairment and improve functioning.
Provide evidence based counseling and behavioral health therapy to patients who seek treatment. Psychotherapy services may include but not limited to: Addiction Counseling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Grief Counseling, Group Therapy, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Work with other departments (Medical, Dental, Pharmacy, etc.) to provide integrated behavioral health services.
Requirements
Bilingual Spanish and Engligh
Licensure or ability to obtain licensure in the state of Iowa as an LMHC or LISW.
Additional licensure as a LADC is preferred.
One year of full-time work-related experience in agency and/or medical clinic service delivery (counseling, case management, outreach, prevention/education, etc.)
A minimum of two years of experience providing behavioral health therapy to individuals, families, and groups preferred. 
Benefits
Salary Range: $73,000 - $76,000
Depending on schedule, may have some weekends and evenings resulting in additional compensation. Would pay $50/hour for weekend shifts.
Eligible for $50,000 in student loan repayment programs.
