Position Purpose:
On behalf of the City of Huber Heights, serves as a representative of Veolia working in the distribution and collection system.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
May be responsible to repair water mains and or sanitary sewer mains.
Requires approximately 100% of time in the field.
Position has on-call responsibilities.
Must be able to respond in person to a call within no more than 30 minutes.
A variety of basic operational and maintenance tasks relevant to maintaining safe and reliable operations of water and/or wastewater collection systems ensuring operational compliance with state and federal regulations.
Routine cleaning and general housekeeping duties in work and plant areas as assigned, including but not limited to sweeping, dusting, mopping, painting
Lift Station maintenance and cleaning
May be responsible to inspect/clean sanitary sewer mains
Ability to properly collect water quality samples, test and maintain collection records
Ability to properly operate equipment such as backhoe, dump trucks, equipment, concrete saw, hydraulic shoring
Ability to use GIS/Mapping to locate valves/manholes lines etc.
Familiar with Confined Space Entry & traffic control procedures.

Incumbent may work on slippery/uneven surfaces, around machinery with moving parts, moving objects/vehicles, and ladder/scaffolding, below ground and may be exposed to water and other liquid materials.
