The Founding Middle School Teachers are the heartbeat of a successful launch of East Tennessee’s only public, bilingual school. The Founding Middle School Teachers will be responsible for the daily implementation of the ChattAcademy vision and the first line of support for students and families. As a founding teacher, you will have the opportunity to establish the school's academic program, policies, and procedures alongside the leadership team. As a founding teacher, you will play a critical role in bringing ChattAcademy's vision to life and ensuring each student receives a high-quality, supportive education. The Founding Middle School Teachers report to the Middle School Principal.
Requirements
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for core subjects that align to state standards and school curriculum
Deliver dynamic lessons that motivate students to think critically and foster social-emotional learning
Use data and assessments to inform instruction and provide differentiated support to students
Build positive classroom culture through consistent routines, clear expectations, and relationship building
Serve as an advisory mentor to a group of 10-15 students, monitoring academic and social progress
Partner with families through regular communication and cultivation of trust
Contribute to the growth of the school through collaboration, reflection, and continuous improvement
