We are currently seeking a Traffic Engineering Leader to help establish and lead a traffic engineering group in the Texas market. This role is crucial for our expansion in Texas, including staff recruitment and mentorship, and will influence our strategic direction and growth in the region and across the company. Leadership duties encompass maintaining ethical business practices, strategic business planning, goal setting, fostering positive client relationships, maintaining open communication with partners and team members, and overseeing the growth of our roadway design sector. The ideal candidate will be dynamic and have a proven record in managing transportation projects with the Texas Department of Transportation, local municipalities, counties, and regional planning organizations. Requirements:
15+ years of experience in transportation project design
BSc. Civil Engineering
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Texas
Preferably strong knowledge of TXDOT Policies and Procedures
Demonstrated experience in leading and expanding engineering teams and building strong professional relationships
Excellent communication and business development capabilities, including client engagement, strategic partnerships, proposal preparation, and presentation delivery
Proficiency in all facets of engineering project management, such as drafting work scopes, budgeting, and scheduling
Availability to travel to project sites, company offices, and client meetings
Openness to adopting and advancing new technologies and methods in work processes
