Cyber & Data Security Associate

Job Description:
There is an immediate opening for a position in the Cyber & Data Security department, within our Litigation & Trial Practice group, for an experienced Associate Attorney with 2-6 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in breach investigations and responses, along with substantive experience in cybersecurity and privacy counseling.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct breach investigations and develop response strategies.
Assist clients in navigating regulatory requirements related to cybersecurity and privacy.
Provide proactive counseling on cybersecurity risk management and compliance.
Draft and negotiate cybersecurity and privacy-related agreements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address client needs effectively.
Stay updated on emerging trends and developments in cybersecurity and data privacy laws.
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Active membership in the state bar.
2-6 years of experience in cybersecurity and data privacy law.
Strong understanding of breach investigation procedures and response protocols.
Experience in cybersecurity risk management and compliance.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in litigation related to cybersecurity and data privacy issues.
Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
CIPP/E, CIPP/US, or similar certifications.
